No, but the Pointe-Noire area is surrounded by many charming restaurants well known on the island for their excellent local cuisine. Don’t hesitate to ask our staff some advices.

Yes, it’s a typical and traditional house of the island.

What is the best moment of the day to visit the garden?

Every hour, every moment has a different atmosphere and its own charm. Whether for the morning light or the orange light the sunset, the Habitation is always beautiful. But of course if you want to avoid the rush hours we advise you the opening hour.

Is there a special price for groups?

Yes, of course, if you are more than 10 people 😊 Please contact us by email or phone so we can give you a special price.

Is there a special price for unemployed visitors?

No, however we advise you to buy your tickets directly on our website if you want to get advantageous price.

How long does a ticket stays valid?

The ticket is valid 1 day, you have 3 months to use you pass, and the subscription is of course valid during 1-year staring on the day you bought it.

Do we need to print the ticket(s) that we bought online?

No, the digital version is enough as soon as we can read the bar code. #letssavetrees

What are the advantages of a yearly subscription?

By joining the Habitation subscriber’s community, you will be the first to be informed of the Habitation’s actuality, events and special animations. You will also have free access to all the event organized by the Habitation, and fast pass at the entrance in order not to be obliged to do the queue.

I bought a ticket on your website but I didn’t receive it by mail, what shall I do?

In this case, please call us or follow the procedure bellow: Once you’ve finished the online buying process, you should receive an email of confirmation. If you didn’t receive anything please check the junk mail box. In any case, you can also find your ticket when clicking on “Ticket lost” in our ticketing section and follow the process.

Do you accept dollars?

Yes, we do. You can also pay by cash, credit card and check.

Is it still possible to visit the Habitation when on a rainy day?

Yes, totally! Indeed, we are on an island in the Caribbean, then of course the weather is a sometimes a bit rainy and cloudy. However, it’s still possible to spent a nice moment in the garden and to visit it in good conditions. No doubt that the particular and charming atmosphere of a rainy day will also seduce you!

Is it authorized to smoke?

No, it’s forbidden for security reasons.

Are there some guided tours organized?

Yes, occasionally. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay tuned to our events and actualities.

Are there some mosquitos?

As we are in an opened Neo tropical area, located in a flourishing nature, you can of course come across some mosquitos. But please be sure that we are doing our best to reduce the number of mosquitos through natural and local methods.

Is it authorized to picnic?

Yes, picnic is allowed in the park. tables and chairs are available for that purpose. Please keep the park clean after your visit. Trash cans are at your disposal.

Is there a disabled access?

Yes, of course. In case of difficulties do not hesitate to ask our team, they will be delighted to help.

Is it feasible with a kid in a stroller?

Yes, the path has disabled access for strollers. #welovefamilies

Do the products that are sold in the shop are made locally?

We’ve always been working hand in hand with local artists and craftsmen. However, in order to be able to satisfy everybody we have local and non-local products in our shop.

Does the visit is feasible for elderly people?

Of course, and in case of a difficulty don’t hesitate to ask our staff members. We are here to help.

Can I come with my pets?

No, pets are forbidden for security reasons.

Is there a minimum age to do the visit?

No, but some activities are not allowed for small children. And under-18 imperatively need to be in the company of an adult.

Is there a pet-care area?

No, pets are forbidden for security reasons.

I’m a professional, am I authorized to do a shooting / film?

Even if we are always delighted to see and share our visitor’s pics the social networks, the shootings and films must be strictly managed and supervised by a contract. Please contact us by email for those kinds of requests.

Do you sale wood?

No, we don’t sale wood but we do promote the craftsmen and the artists working with the wood through our museum. Indeed, the Habitation is located in the earth of Pointe-Noire the so-called Capital of wood in Guadeloupe.
The only animals that are in the Habitation’s garden are its small inhabitants: hummingbirds, insects, arthropods, chickens, etc. No doubt that your kids will love them.
